[Opinions] Honoring Middles
I've been missing my Nana (grandmother) lately and wanted to ask about her name, Patricia "Pat" for kicks and giggles. I really really want to love her name as a middle the same way I love my Nana but Patricia still just feels dry and still not ready yet for recycling. I like Patrick a little bit more for a boy but I don't love it necessarily. I'm also aware of Patrice, Trish and Tricia as options. My living grandmother is a Sherry, and that I occasionally contemplate just altering into Sherilyn for a middle name to avoid the alcohol association (she and her sisters were all named for alcoholic beverages). Occasionally I contemplate double middle names Sherilyn Patrice or Sherilyn Tricia. But anyways, wanted to ask A.) About the names I mentioned in this post and B.) If you think they may work with any of my existing favorites from my PNL as either a singular or 2nd middle name. *link below* thank you! Have a good day. Please rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

I think Patricia kinda rocks in the middle. It hides underneath fashion. I think Patrice and Tricia are much worse.I like Sherry more than Sherilyn, which is a total smoosh.Manipura nailed combos for you.I often contemplate using my grandma Rena's name, though it has some issues - it's not exactly a Legitimate Name, the "e" is not pronounced the same internationally, and it makes people think of kidneys. Maybe I don't care though! She was named for her grandmother Orena, so I could continue the tradition with something like Irena - but I don't like Irena - but I like Irene... Irene "Rena"? Irena "Irene"? Lol.

I think Patricia makes a good MN. It's a well-worn classical name like Victoria but currently has more of a funky retro vibe like Tabitha might. I don't like it as a first name really, but I am fond of Trisha and Patrice.I think Sherry has a broader appeal than names like Brandy or Hennessy, so I personally wouldn't fixate on the alcohol association. I've known 3 Sherrys, and they were all from different countries. That said, I prefer Shireen.Astrid Violet Patricia
Eva Claudia Sherry
Elisabeth Ivy Patricia
Daphne Juliana Patricia
Ingrid Hyacinth Patricia
Georgiana Sherry Primrose
Kira Olive Patricia
Lavender Fiona Patricia
Mira Patricia Lilac
Lorelei Sherry Patricia
Lucy Marigold Patricia
Olivia Miranda Sherry
Lyra Melina Sherry

I like Patricia - elegant and restrained - but dislike all its nns. As a mn, it's splendid.Beatrice Patricia?
Lucy Patricia?
Louise Patricia? I've got a distant relative named Cheryl; Sheryl would work better for me than Sherilyn.
Ingrid Sheryl?
Miranda Sheryl?
Veronika Sheryl? For a boy, Adrian Patrick or Jonathan Patrick sound and look good.

Yeah, the sounds in Patricia are just really unfashionable.
But it would make a great middle name!
Sherilyn Patricia is nice. Elodie Sherilyn Patricia. Or just Elodie Patricia.I like Sherry enough that I don't give a rip about anybody's alcohol association. I believe it's not only "for" the beverage.

I do think Patricia is a little stale, although there is nothing inherently wrong with the name. I think the Patrice variant works well with some of your names, particularly the ones that end in the -ia sounds. For example, Delphinia Patrice, Lavinia Patrice, even seraphina Patrice. I don’t know why I’m having a harder time with Sherilyn. With that name I think Genevieve works best. In fact I think Genevieve works well with the compound Genevieve Sherilyn Patricia combo. For Patrick, I think Adrian or zacchaeus works best.
