Just spell it Emery. It's just annoying. I prefer two similar names Esmeray (EEZ-meh-ree, a Turkish name meaning dark moon) or Ismerie (ESS-mer-eye, a French name of unclear meaning and origin)

I feel like ... it is a mess. Seems jumbled and I can't easily recognize what it is supposed to be.
Is it a creative spelling of Emery? Is it based on Emma / Mary? Or Emma / Marie? Like Esmerée without the S?
If it's supposed to be Emma-Rey ... I usually like smushes, but that mix is not my style at all. I mean, it could be much worse! But it gives me a "reach-far-and-miss-the-mark" vibe, like Renesmee. It bothers me if it's like Emery but pronounced with an ending like Renee. A special ultrastylish Emery? There are so many Emery and Emily variants, they're so common and forgettable, and they make it seem too ambiguous. If not for that alone, it might be more appealing.

This name is already like nails on a blackboard. (If only there was something that could be used to file those nails down.) But this re-spelling is just extra obnoxious. Siblings would be Jaxxon and Mykayla no doubt.

That pronunciation is more like Emery. I think Emmarey would be pronounced like Emma-Ray.

I'm sorry but I kinda want to laugh, it looks like a Youtuber handle. Or some creative Mormon spelling. I definitely would mess it up and say 'Emma-Ray".

I wouldn't assume that -rey sounded like -ree. But if it does, then won't Emmarey be constantly mistaken for Emily? If the Emma component is important, and why is it there if it isn't, then Emma-Ray or even Emma-Rae would be preferable: better but still not good!

I believe it's a variant of Emery influenced by Emma. I don't like it at all, it looks forced. I prefer it spelled either Emma or Emery.
