How would you pronounce Magdalena? The ways I’ve heard are either mag-duh-lee-nah or mag-duh-lay-nah.

In English, MAG-duh-LEE-nah; in Afrikaans, mahCH-dah-LEEuh-nah. CH is the throat-clearing sound, similar to the -ch in 'loch'.
