[Opinions] Marius
What do you think of the name Marius? Is it usable? It used to be a family name until two generations ago.

It’s pretty popular for kids in Denmark. So in my context, yes, absolutely.

I don't think it would work too well in modern times, at least not in certain areas.

I like it. I don't really see a reason that it wouldn't be usable. I personally wouldn't use it, because my own name is Mary.

Sure, it's usable. I quite like it. It has a bit of a dated/oldish vibe to me, but still nice.

Where I live, it happens every day. I like it, in spite of a cousin's ghastly son, but I'd never use it because I love Marinus so much more.I imagine Americans (I'm guessing that's what you are) see more startling things than Marius on a daily basis. They'll cope.

My first thought is Les Miserables, but most people probably wouldn’t associate the name with the character. (And it’s not like it’s a bad character anyway). I also think “marry us.” Even though I list those things, the name is still usable. It’s not my style, but I wouldn’t roll my eyes at someone naming their child Marius.
