Anna Armas Ellen - Armas used to be a unisex name.
Cora Ellen Maria
Emma Ellen Jenny
Ilma Ellen Ottilia
Ingrid Emilia Anna Ellen
Rosa Ellen Sigrid*Context:Most of these names belonged to the members of the Finnish-Swedish minority which explains the usage of more Scandinavian, Germanic and Indo-European names in general. Finnish was made the official language with Swedish in 1858 and during the latter half of the century people started to (re)use more "pure" Finnish names inspired by the national-romantic movement. The usage of native, traditional Finnish names was lost during the Christianization in the Middle Ages: so, the most popular names in Finland were and even still are Biblical and saint names, such as Maria, Helena, Sofia, Johannes and Mikael. These were the forms that were used in the official documents, but people made up and used more Finnish sounding variants and diminutives of them, for example Maija, Leena, Sohvi, Juhani and Mikko. Nowadays these forms are used independently and have lost their nickname status.~*~*~*~kuin metsäorvokki laaksossa

My name is Ellen Elizabeth so it was fun to see all these combinations. It's a shame that Ellen DeGeneres has tarnished the name for so many. Thankfully, my mother didn't pick a name that was super common at the time. It's not the best name but I was grateful not to be a Debbie, Sharon, Susan, Terry, Lori, etc.
Is it pronounced EE - Lyn or El - lyn in Finland?

I can't help but imagine Ellen DeGeneres when I hear it, not a very good image. But on it's own I adore the name, it's very mature.
Rosa Ellen Sigrid is my favorite out of these.

I tend to agree. The only Ellen I've ever personally known was my husband's aunt. Nice lady! So I always think of her instead. Prior to that, I would have thought of Ellen DeGeneres too.
