Carson Matthew Reagan (50) is Cas' father, a conservative pastor for a local Southern Baptist church. He lost his wife and youngest son in a auto accident when Cas was five and his oldest son was eight. He became very closed off for a long time and was forced to resign from his job as an electrician at that time because he was drinking so heavily. This influenced Cas in a bad way, and she became scared of her father. She turned to people who didn't hold the same beliefs as him because of this. Carson almost committed suicide via driving his car off a mountain road, but that's when he found God and was saved. He attended seminary and became the pastor for his church once he sobered up. Unfortunately, when he tried to reconcile with Cas, she pushed him away. Carson will never shut his kids out of his life again, but he doesn't know how to tell Cas where she understands. His remaining son has, however, reconciled with his father and is trying to reach out to his little sister.

Casey Emerson Reagan (20) is Carson's oldest son, Cas' big brother. The car accident left him paraplegic, and he's been in a wheelchair since. Though he holds different beliefs than his father, Casey is also a Christian, attending a liberal Methodist church where he sings in the choir. Casey is in school for music therapy, and plays the bass guitar. He was very close to Cas when they were kids and loves her desperately. To his dismay, she hasn't talked to him since his reconciliation with Carson. That doesn't stop him from trying to talk to her. He wants to get her off a path of self-destruction and give her much-needed comfort and council through the already difficult teenage years.

Cruz Matteo Quintero (15) is Flora's boyfriend. They've known each other since childhood. Cruz wants to be a lawyer when he gets older. He has a job at a local grocery store. Flora meets him there after school and he often takes her home. Flora is almost like a sister they're together so often, and Cruz loves her dearly. He plans to marry her as soon as he graduates law school, so he has a bit to wait. But Cruz is very patient.

Lily Aeng-hwa Ross [4 months] is one of the babies Jada takes care of. She is a bright and happy baby who loves to play outside, play with her sisters, and accompany her mommy as she tends to her garden.

Aria Mino Ross [8] is Lily's older sister. She likes to play outside with her sisters and going over to her best friend's house to play with her golden retriever. Aria wants to be a vet when she grows up and loves helping out at the local animal shelter, even if it's just playing with the animals.

Evie Amelia Lennox (8) is Aria’s best friend. Her golden retriever is named Lucky. Evie has had Lucky since she was a baby, and they’re super close. Evie wants to be an actress when she grows up.
