Boy and girl versions of the the same name (Patrick and Patricia)
Names with obvious themes (River and Brooke)
(Names with similar sounds / only a few letter difference (Taylor and Tyler)

I hate matchy-matchy names so anything that sounds similar at all.

To me if the names rhyme or start with the same syllable (like Emily and Emerson).

I don’t care if they are.

Are you asking how do you know if they're too similar?
