I dislike it. I love Isabelle and Anna, but have never warmed up to Annabelle / Annabel.

I like them both because they are long and elegant. I prefer Annabelle, cuz it's more complete.

I like Annabel, which looks clean and enamel blue, but dislike Annabelle, which is bubblegum pink and saccharine.

I love Annabel. Annabelle reminds me of the creepy doll and is too sugary sweet.

I like it but it kind of sounds like a cow name. Ha ha

Both Annabel and Annabelle are lovely, I really like them; my preferred spelling being the latter. It's a shame Annabel left the American chart 4 years ago. However, my favourite form is Arabella. It's less common and I adore its pronunciation and the way it looks on paper.

I don't mind Annabel. I'd be much more likely to use Anne, in fact I have, because it's a family name, but I prefer Annabel to Anita and Annette and also to Anna. I find its etymology delightfully bizarre; however, that makes me dislike Annabelle for adding fake French to the already confused mix.

I wonder who started using Annabelle. Maybe it was the French themselves, or English aristocracy trying to look cultured.
