One of my oldest and dearest friends; her parents chose the name because they'd really, really wanted a daughter (She's their first child). We've been buddies since Grade 1; when she went to preprimary school, one of the assistants was unfamiliar with her name and, doing her best, called her Daisy-Ray. I sometimes call her Daisy to this day, but apparently nobody else is allowed to. She is usually called Des.If I had enough daughters (impossible) and wanted to name one after her (very likely), I'd use Daisy.

Desiree is beautiful name and lovely for a planned or rainbow child. I really like the meaning and I love it with the accents too Désirée is great.
