The book "Cheaper by the Dozen" was written by two of the twelve children of Frank and Lillian Gilbreth, who were pioneers in the field of motion study and industrial efficiency in the early 1900s. The movies are based on the book, but very, very loosely, and the actual Gilbreth family had no twins or triplets and their names were totally different.

Wikipefia says: "From oldest to youngest, they are Anne, Ernestine (Ern), Martha (Mart), Frank Jr., Bill, Lillian (Lill), Fred, Dan, John (Jack), Bob, and Jane." And that there was Mary who died of diftheria.

I like Luna and Luca. I do not like Bronx or Bailey.

I saw that movie(it's alright)!Luna is such a pretty name.
I like Luca 'cause it's Italian.
Bronx is good...never heard it before, though
Bailey is a name I love.

The movie was okay. It was an interracial blended family so there were some totally different style names. I didn’t like how the twins names started with the same letters. The names of the kids in this remake are Deja, Ella, DJ, Harley (g), Haresh, Seth, Luna, Luca, Bailey and Bronx. Yes, there are only 10 kids. I guess the parents are supposed to make the dozen? It has gotten so far off from the original Gilbreths that I think they should’ve called it something different.

I wonder what else it features. Presumably it's set in today's world, judging by the trite and tired names of the twins.Jut for fun, I looked up the actual turn-of-the-20th century children, in age order:
Anne, Ernestine (Ern), Martha (Mart), Frank Jr., Bill, Lillian (Lill), Fred, Dan, John (Jack), Bob, and JaneI dislike Ern for a boy, and for a girl it's dreadful; I also find Bill, closely followed by Lill(ian), unfortunate. There was also a girl named Mary who died young.

Don't like Luna esp with luca too close. I dislike sibs with same initials and don't Luke Bronx or Bailey

I like every name in its own right except for Bronx.I understand that alliteration or rhyming is a common theme for twin naming, but since Luca and Lucy both start with Lu, it seems too repetitive.
The other twin set is the complete opposite, the names seem too "different": Bronx sounds harsh, whereas Bailey sounds... sweet? They don't really suit each other, despite starting with the same letter.I'll applaud the directors for choosing names that fit the times, though.
