[Games] Royal Congrats #1
Indebted to saphirdufeu - she hasn't been active this year, but I hope she wouldn't mind this adaptation of her congrats games. This game will follow an English royal family from an unspecified medieval century, hence, expect historical inaccuracies.
Please feel very much encouraged to include story elements, I always love reading them in congrats games :)

House of East Anglia
King Henry of East Anglia (35)
Queen Margaret of Anglia (30)
Prince Roland of East Anglia (8)
Princess Lucy of East Anglia (4)
King Henry has been ruling East Anglia for almost 3 years. He was the oldest of 3 boys, so he was quite lucky to be the first of his brothers to become king. Henry and Margaret have been married 10 years. They have had 2 children along the way. Prince Roland, he claims to have been “destined to become king” and Princess Lucy. She is a very sweet and carin soul.

House of Wessex
King Athelstan “the elder” of Wessex (62)
Queen Adelaide “The second king” of Wessex (Née Countess of Strathclyde) (36)
Princess Rohesia of Wessex (16)
King Athelstan of Wessex has ruled for little time, mostly because of his many brothers who all rained before him but never had my children, meaning he was given the thrown in his old age, earning him his nickname. His wife, Adelaide, married him after his coronation to create some allyship between Wessex and Strathclyde, even after their contrast of age, but she became much more than that after Athelstan Fell Ill. Because of Athelstan’s age and the stress of running Wessex he fell into a sort of half coma but to keep the dignity of the kingdom Adelaide began to run many of the errands, earning her the nickname “the second king”. Because of Athelstan’s old age Athelstan and Adelaide were only able to give birth to one daughter, named Rohesia, And although Rohesia’s mother had proved to be a good leader she was never a full monarch, which means Rohesia is in a tricky position considering she’s not a crown Prince and an only child(and she has no cousins), and the kingdom of Wessex had never had a Woman monarch before, Will she have to compete with second cousins when her fathers death comes?

King John Edmund of the House of Wessex has ruled for the past thirteen years, shortly after his marriage to Queen Amabel, formerly Duchess Amabel of Waverly. Like his father before him, he has been known as a strict, but fair ruler, allowing the people a good deal of latitude in their daily activities as long as there are no great disturbances.
Princess Mary is the eldest child of King John Edmund and Queen Amabel. She is a lovely young lady who enjoys drawing and spending time in the royal gardens. Crown Prince John Laurence is busy learning Latin, Greek, History, and all the things necessary for a future ruler. Prince Edmund Patrick is just starting his schooling and much prefers to be outside chasing chickens and running around with the other children in the palace. Princess Cateline is the youngest child of the King and Queen.

Beatrice and William are parents of five children, though to their dismay, 4 are girls and girls of course are to be married of and not inherit the crown in their time period and can not carry on titles, so when their fifth child is a little boy, they are incredibly happy. The whole kingdom is overjoyed. Prince Oliver is now six, a happy child, very strong and healthy. His sisters, 18 year old Dorothy, is ready to be married of but Beatrice and William are not finding suitable matches. Isabel, Rohesia and Cecily are bright girls, though they have very different interests. Isabel is quite religious, Rohesia likes learning languages, and Cecily likes art.

HOUSE OF NORTHUMBRIA

Queen Lucy of Northumbria (37)

Princess Dionysia of Northumbria (14)
Princess Cassandra of Northumbria (14)
Prince Magnus of Northumbria (11)
King Francis and Queen Lucy with Princess Aveline, Princess Dionysia, Princess Cassandra, and Prince Magnus
King Francis and Queen Lucy were married rather late for royals, in their early twenties. This worried the royal family that they may not produce many heirs, given the russian roulette lifespan of the time. However, these fears were quelled when the royals gave birth to healthy triplet girls: the Princesses Aveline, Dionysia, and Cassandra. But the family still weren't satisfied. To the medieval royals, three girls meant nothing against a baby boy. Three years of pressuring and worry later, Prince Magnus was born. Now, the triplets are fourteen, soon to be married off. Princess Cassandra is not quite ready to say goodbye to her family and move into someone else's castle, possibly very far away. Princess Dionysia, on the other hand, is more than ready. Prince Magnus is clearly the favorite, and Princess Dionysia wants to be spoiled the way she deserves. As for Princess Aveline, she sees this as an excellent opportunity. She feels that Prince Magnus stole the crown from her, and marrying into another royal family will start her on the way to regain power.

20 years ago, King Hugh II of Mercia died young in a mysterious hunting accident, leaving power in the hands of his 15-year-old son, the present King Hugh III, with Queen Cateline ruling in her son's name. However, Baron Firmin of Wessex attempted to claim the regency, and rose up in rebellion against Cateline. Firmin had been on the hunting trip that caused Hugh's death, and said that with his dying breath the old king had named Firmin the regent. Cateline led her troops into battle, and captured Firmin, executing him for treason. Rumor has it that perhaps Hugh II's "accident" wasn't so accidental after all. However, Firmin's son, the new Baron Everard of Wessex, has remained a thorn in Mercia's side.
