[Opinions] Heatherlyn
I came up with the name Heatherlyn a few days ago and want your opinion on it. I'm quite don't like this name, but I want to hear your ideas about what kind of girl it would fit and with what names it can make good combinations. In addition to Heatherlyn, there are also Hetherlyn, Heathlyn, and Heatherline.

Just make it Heather Lynn (FN+MN). Don't slap -lyn onto the end or some random name.

Definitely hate it. I don't like Heather at all and hate when people mash Lynne/Lyn/Lin or Lee/Leigh/Ly at the end of a name.
Heatherlyn got saddled with her name because one of her parents liked the name Heather and then they tacked on lyn to make it "trendy" like Everlyn, Jaelyn, Kaylyn, etc.

I dated a guy in high school that his sisters name was Maheatherland/Maheatherlin, can't remember which way it was spelled. And me liking names so much, I came up with Maheatherlyn and Maheavenlyn. Which I still have on my middle name list for girls.I actually like the thought process of the name. Her dad had come up with the name when she was born. Her full name was or is.Maheatherlin HopeHope this helps. Sorry I couldn't help more.

...ok, ngl I think Maheatherland/Maheatherlin is neat.

I really don't find any of them successful. I love Heather on its own, but attacking it with dated Lyn variants and superglue does it no favours. The other day I spotted Lynn-Ann, which I didn't like, but it's actually better than your experiments, IMO.

I don't like Heather or the other variations, but Heatherline (line said as "leen") is the best one, with Heathlyn being my least favorite.
I think that a Heatherlyn would be very intelligent, but also snooty. I agree with Glaucous, that her mom could certainly be an Ashley. Her dad could be a Troy.

It'd fit the same type of person Heather, Madelyn, Emberly, Everleigh would. I don't think it's too bad considering some other popular names, although I don't even like Heather. Heathlyn is the worst variation imo, but I hate the sound of Heath, too.I'd guess Heatherlyn was born into a lower middle class family. Maybe she has some Scottish heritage. Maybe her mom likes purple. Maybe her mom wears feather earrings or is named Ashley. Maybe she is named after her godmother Heather and her grandma Lynn.Heatherlyn Taleah

Ugh. I like Heather quite a lot, but this is just too much. Heather's dated now but Heatherlyn, which should fit right in with all the lyn names now popular, feels even more dated. Heatherline and Heathlyn are even worse.
