Despite his need for an heir, and the constant encouragement of his advisors, King Robert has refused to remarry. His heart has not recovered from the loss of his daughter and the departure of his wife. As of now his heir is his brother Arthur, who still remains troublingly childless as well. Cecily and Roger are bringing their sons, left second and third in line to the throne, very frequently to court. The children of the princesses continue to grow in number, but their have been some tragedies. Alice's first child drowned, and Melissa and Vincenzo lost two children to a plague that swept through their city. In the aftermath Melissa has taken up with a handsome singer, and some might question whether her latest child is truly Vincenzo's. In Aragon, Hernando has replaced his mistress for a younger woman, a worrying trend - yet he and the queen have two more children as well. Celio and his wife Lyudmila have decided to be very international in their name choices because I cant be bothered to make them match. Mary and Aengus have a son and a second daughter, contenting them both. Mary doesn't even care that he has taken a mistress, as he is discreet and she's achieved the political aims she wishes from the marriage. Let him keep busy elsewhere, four children is enough for her. Aveline and Alan have found a match for their younger daughter Agatha, and one to a young king. Some might find it surprising to wed the younger daughter first, but they see no need to rush things. There remains much uncertainty in the future of the royal family... but such is the way of life.-----https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/120652
