[Opinions] Stacy/Stacey
Thoughts on the name Stacy or the spellings Stacey, Stacie, etc? I like the Stacy/Stacey spelling more. It popped in my head, haha. This name is pretty 1970's-1980's, but I like it. I heard it on men also. I prefer it on women.

Despite the fact that Stacey's mom has got it goin' on, she unfortunately does not have great taste in names.

My name is Stacey. I’m female and born in 1993. It does seem dated now. I didn’t have others in my class with the name, but it wasn’t weird or unknown either. I was fine with it until that Fountains of Wayne song Stacy’s Mom came out when I was around 10. I hate that song. It’s still constantly sung to me when I meet people, like I’ve never heard it or something. Before I had not thought much about my name, except for always having to remind people about the e, but that song definitely made me dislike it for a long time and still effects how I feel about it.

I think Stacy is an okay name. Very lacy and delicate. I prefer the spelling Stacy and Stacey is a close second. Don’t care for Stacie but Staci is a okay as well. I feel like if I were to use it I would have to pair it with something more cool, feminine, and heavy.Stacy Ravenna

Hm... It reminds me a lot of Sadie but with more of a late-midcentury vibe, like Robin and Laurie. I'm digging it.

I used to like this name as a kid. It sounds like a cheerleader in an 80’s teen comedy.
