It’s not bad, but I prefer Hermione.

Hermia makes me think of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." It would be a cute name on a cat. I wouldn't want it for my own name since it sounds a bit clumsy and rhymes with hernia as Cherrypiee mentioned.

Hermia also reminds me of a hedgehog - small, cute and may be either very sociable and friendly or prickly and introverted depending on how it is handled.

It's way way too close to "hernia", just thinking about how often I miss the second bump on the "m" when I'm writing things down in a hurry makes me shudder. I'd just go for the longer Hermione or the shorter Mia.
