[Opinions] Birth Announcement
My friend that requested name ideas a few months ago had her baby boy. They named him Whyatt Edward Gene Hudson Lastname. The middles are all honoring I am told. Wyatt was one of the recommendations either from here or another platform but she decided to go with a different spelling because she prefers unusual spellings to standards. I like Edward and Hudson, Gene is decent in terms of an honoring middle. I don't care for Wyatt personally, in any spelling... don't tell on me... it's a lot of middles too. I only know 2 other people offhand with 3 middles. It's not bad though necessarily and it's all honoring too. He's very cute, and squishyPlease rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

My sons have 3 middle names as well.
I don’t like creative spellings but Whyatt isn’t too bad.

I never had a problem with Wyatt, but why Whyatt? Very unique name in full, I’ll give it that. I’m just now realizing Edward is kinda common as a middle name...Personally I would probably just do Wyatt Edward Hudson or Wyatt Gene Hudson. I like it because not only is it different but the name is good sound wise. Whyatt Edward Gene Hudson almost sounds royal. Too bad for the Wyatt spelling though.

Edward Gene Hudson are nicely flowing mns. I've also got 3 mns and one of my daughters too. All honouring too, which makes a difference for me.The spelling just makes this kid's life harder than it needs to be... Wyatt is not really my style.

I'm going to be honest here: those look like two separate kids' names. Whyatt Edward and Gene Hudson look like two cowboys, and altogether it's a lot of name for one (squishy and adorable) person. Also, little Whyatt is going to get a lot of "Why?" related taunts in school.

Could have been worse

I don't see the logic of respelling Wyatt. None whatsoever, especially since it isn't a super popular name. It isn't as though there are bound to be like 8 other Wyatt's in his grade/school. It's an unusual spelling for sure, and also makes the parents look incredibly ignorant. (Sorry not sorry) And I agree, too many middles. Wyatt Edward Gene would have sufficed. That would had been a really solid combo.Though I suppose the spelling could have been a lot worse and appeared even more illiterate. Whyit/Whyitt Whyet/Whyett. *Shudders*

Yeah the spelling at least has a sort-of logic behind it, why+at *minus the other T* The name just doesn't appeal to me even with the "proper" spelling.

Yeah oddly enough, her spelling actually reminds me why I don't really care for the name myself. I mean it's alright, and certainly tolerable as far as names go, but the I'd never really been able to get passed the 'Why' sound. It practically sounds like "why it" to me. /:

Why?That's all I see when I look at how that name is spelled. I don't even like the original, but this is laughable. The middle names are better at least, although there's probably one or two too many.
