[Opinions] Re: Kimberly or Rachel?

Definitely Rachel, though I prefer Rachael. Kimberly ... Kim is very dated and the only possible nn. Just Jonquil says Kimberly and Beverly are equally dated; I agree, but I also find the American spelling of both of them very odd and unattractive. Like adverbs. If you're happy, do something happily; if you're Bever, do something Beverly. In South Africa we know Kimberley, that version, as a small town in a dry semi-desert, icy in winter, scorching in summer, where the local diamond industry began. Now the mines are all closed and, fun fact, some are used for growing mushrooms in the dark.
