I get in trouble with the law after I mess up my taxes. Thaïs speaks to a lawyer friend and is able to get her help for the situation, and we're able to escape with a small fee.

Thaïs and I start exploring religion. Thaïs was raised non-religious, and I was raised Catholic, though I've fallen out of practice. We both become very interested in Mahayana Buddhism, and after a lot of discussion, decide to convert.

My family ends up in hot water! My father, St John Fairchield, passes away with an unclear will. His sister wants to take the family home, while Phoebe and I believe it should be left to us. We get in a heavy legal battle, but eventually Phoebe and I win out.
