It's like a Central Casting first name for a pompous British dandy. Lord Salisbury Reginald Winston Perrywinkle-Puffington, Esquire.
Salisbury is the name of a good-size town in Maryland about a half hour from me. It's the place we go to for the mall and movies.
I know someone with the last name Salisbury so it's not beyond the realm of possibility of being a first name, but it would be very over the top.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
