[Opinions] Arabic/Muslim girl name HELP
Hi!I am a revert and my side of the family is American. My late husband is Arab, and I want my daughter to have her name Arabic/Muslim to honor her Arab heritage. My late husband always had a fascination with the stars and astronomy. I'm planning to name her Stara ستارا, but I'm not sure of the meaning. I choose Stara because it's easy to pronounce/remember/write in English that has no religious connotation at all. Please let me know if there are any meanings for Stara ستارا ?
Thanks in advance :)

I think Imani, Khadija or Khadijah, Aaliyah, Yasmina, Soraya, Aisha, and Zainab could be used as the English-speaking person might know them.

Stara is nice! I think that these names could also work:
Personally, I know an Arabic-American Muslim girl named Zaina. I think that name is really pretty! Another spelling you could use would be Zayna.
Sarah
Norah
Layla
Nadia
Alya
Mariam
Amira
Samira
Dalia
Anisa
Jamila
Nasira
Yasmin or Yasmine
Zahra or Zahrah

It's the Arabic word for star, but it's not used as a name.

My two Muslim friends are named Mubina and Luley, one has a daughter named Najma. I think all three are pretty names.

Stara is nice. Depending on how you pronounce it, it may remind people more of "to stare" than "star"I'd go for Soraya if I was looking for an Arabic astronomy inspired name that would still work well in English.

It means star, as both the arabic and english words derive from the same persian source (persian has a lot of similarities to english actually)
