I'm newly charmed by this handsome Ancient Greek name, which I'm pronouncing "ka-LEE-is" (roughly). What do you think? I think I prefer Callias.

I'll be honest: it's reminding me a bit too much of Callista for me to think of it as a masculine name. Looks like Callias derived from the same root, as well (so like Cassandra vs. Cassander).

A letter off from my name, hehe

It's a little jarring to see it in masculine form, but not completely off-putting. It is pretty handsome. I once had a dental assistant who had a nephew with this name.

I never heard it before, but I like it. Sounds elegant, but it is not too long or complicated.
