[Opinions] Ayla
Ayla means moonlight halo which is beautiful in my opinion, but would it get confused with the super popular Isla?

Definitely not. There’s no confusion between Ellie and Ally, so I don’t see why Ayla and Isla would get confused. In middle school I had two friends named Ella and Ayla. It wasn’t confusing.

I know a little Ayla whose name is pronounced the same as Isla and it definitely does cause confusion between the her and the two other Islas in the group. Pronounced with a long A (which is how most people read it before she corrects them), there would probably be less confusion.

Only if you're pronouncing it the same as Isla. Otherwise I don't think there would be any issues - apart from the inevitable occasional mishearing of course, but that happens to everyone at some point.

It may be confused for Isla. However, it would be pronounced with a long A where I am. At least, that’s how I pronounce Ayla. Exactly like Kayla, Layla, or Jayla without a K, L, or J.
