I really love the name Annelise! I’d pick this spelling out of them all. It’s a very pretty name. I love the combination Annelise Marie.

I'm neutral on it. It just feels empty to me. I prefer the Dutch spelling, Anneliese, which I like.

I quite like Annelise. I prefer it to the other versions, though none are bad.

Not much. It reminds me of analysis, and Anne Frank (the latter obviously not a bad association so much as a sad one. And the former neutral, but wordy). Anneliese > Annalise > Annelise > Annaliese.

I love it. My favorite is probably Anneliese. It feels like Anastasia's equally pretty but less pompous sister. *though I do love a good pompous name, there is a time and place for them I think. Anneliese could fit in with a lot more settings than Anastasia imo.

I secretly prefer the spelling Annelise to Anneliese - and outwardly prefer both to Annalise - but of the three, Annelise is (somehow) the least familiar spelling in Anglophone cultures. Not sure how, as it makes more sense (in English) than Anneliese, but there you go.I don't know why I like Annelise and Annamarie (despite not usually liking "combination" names at all), but... there you go.

I've always liked Anneliese, it combines two pretty but common names and makes them extra special :)Anneliese > Annelise > Annaliese > Annalise

My GP, an older woman, spells her name Anneliese and pronounces the final -e.Afrikaans South Africans often use merged names, for instance if they want to name a child after both grandmothers. I knew a woman named Maria Elisabeth Helena who was always called Marelna; when she had a daughter, she named the baby Marelna, with no mn. I think the fashion is fading, but we don't keep naming statistics so it's hard to tell.ETA the -s- in Anneliese is always pronounced s, not z.
