All the vowels together look wrong somehow. I like Troyan, but only on guys.

Prefer Troian on a boy. It sounds handsome. I prefer Troian to Troy.

I prefer Troy or Troyan and only for a boy.

Have only seen it used once, for a rather limp character in a gothic mystery. She was nothing to inspire repetition.

I only know of it because of the actress Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars). Given that it's so unusual, I don't have a problem with it being used for one gender or another. For what it's worth, Wolfram Alpha says it's a female given name, is estimated to belong to 28 people total in the U.S., and the most common age of a person named Troian is 3. I don't hate it, and I hate a lot of other names that end with N.

I don't like it for a girl, but it could grow on me as a boy's name.
