I think it's fairly appealing. I could imagine calling someone it, and it wouldn't be weird. It's not weirder than Hollis. (I would say the a as in talisman, not as in tall)
I don't think it's particularly feminine. Seems unisex, because it is surnamey. On a guy it would seem more old-timey to me, on a gal more modern-surnamey.

Thanks for adding it back! I actually remembered another bearer, so I added her to the notes as well.
