Devora is nice (I prefer that to the Devorah or Devra spellings, and the nickname Dev is cute), but I could never get behind Deborah / Debra. Not because of the dated nature of the name so much as I've always found it cold. Deb is icier to me than Dev, even - that middle B really bothers me in a way I can't explain. I don't even like Debbie. (I don't like Libby, or Liberty, either; but Elizabeth and Tabitha are lovely. So I can't explain why some Bs bother me more than others.)
