'Oliver and Annie' is really cute. It reminds me of Annie, the musical, and Oliver Twist, the musical: two of my favorite movies when I was a kid. :)-- Sarah

I like Oliver for someone else's kid. It's a bit too Brit-chic for me personally, but it's a perfectly strong name. And his siblings have the option of calling him Liver. ;) Annie on its own bugs me, though. I've grown to like it as a nickname, but by itself, it's really whiny.Array

Oliver isn't bad. I personally prefer Olivier, but that might be a bit pretentious of me. ;) Annie is nice, but more as a nn for Anne, Annette, etc. Oliver and Annie as a sibset is going a bit strong on the orphan theme in my thinking.Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I feel silly for not realizing the "orphan theme!" Now I'm definitely off the sibset :-)

I think Oliver and Annie sound lovely together. I really adore the name Oliver and it is the name I would give to my first son (when I eventually have kids!)! I have chosen Oliver Eli for my son, do you like that?

I don't really like it exactly, but I *love* the nickname Noll, which is the only thing that's warmed me up to it at all. Oliver doesn't remind me of the obvious 'olives,' but rather it brings to mind a kind of brownish puce sort of color, like oliver ought to be the name of something kind of dogfood-ish. :-/ Don't ask why, but that's how it feels to me. So personally I don't like it, but for its classic appeal and its lack of enormous popularity I can appreciate it and respect people using it. I think Oliver and Annie go together quite well as a sibset; it's kind of sweet and nice, IMO. I think Oliver will go well with any middle name with a classic sort of feel, like:Oliver William
Oliver Thomas
Oliver Charles
Oliver Jeremiah
Oliver Daniel
Oliver Theodore
Oliver Howard
Oliver Lawrence

Because Oliver has three syllables, I think a shorter name as a middle name sounds better--either one or two syllables. Oliver Ray and Oliver James come to mind.
