Story elements (optional, choose as many as you would like)
1. The family decides to go on a vacation. But nothing goes as planned. It went so horribly that many family members now think the family has been cursed.
2. Someone in the family earns an award them and (a) family member(s) attend a gala. But, when they make a speech could they have revealed their powers! (If family has no powers then a secret)
3. A severe accident leads to someone being in the hospital, at least everyone thought it was an accident. Once the family figures out whose fault it is it is a big shock!
Roll a 20-sided dice for each person.
If the persons age is 49 or younger, A 5 or below is death.
If the persons age is 50 or older A 11 or below is death.
Roll a 10-sided dice for singles 18 or older!
Relationships:
For singles 18-25, a score of 6 or higher is a relationship.
For singles 26-35, a score of 4 or higher is a relationship.
For singles 36-45, a score of 5 or higher is a relationship.
Status:
1-3: Dating
4-6: Engaged
7-10: Married
For children, roll a 20-sided dice: Odd numbers are boys and even are girls!
If the potential mother is 18-25, any score from 1-10= 0 children, 11-17 = 1 child, 18-20 = 2 children
If the potential mother is 26-35, any score from 1-5 = 0 children, 6-9= 1 child, 10-17= 2 children, 18-20 = 3 children

The August-Shay family live happily for two more years. After tedious research, the family decide to embark on a journey to the Guatemalan rainforest to find the person who sent the letter - the last living member of the extended Chihuán family. Yaretzi's granduncle, Tialoc, married into the Chihuán family and is unable to practice their magic. Now an elderly man, he's been searching for years for Yaretzi. At only 13 years old, Úna and Cecily accompany Yaretzi on her journey. Gideon is brought along, as his storytelling magic has prozen quite useful for manipulation, should need be. Though still a nervous man, at age 19 Norman has gotten reigns on his anxiety and doesn't want to leave his baby sister behind. The family are able to reach Tialoc, who promises to give Yaretzi everything he knows about the Chihuán family and their magic. He hands her loads of books, photos, and records. But, the family are tired, and it has been a long night. Yaretzi would like to know her granduncle, anyway. But tragedy strikes as they sleep that night, and when the family awake, Norman and Yaretzi have perished. This devastates the family, and Tialoc believes they may have fallen ill to a curse at the same hands of those who killed the other surviving Chihuáns. It seems their plan has worked this time - with the death of Yaretzi, the Chihuán magical line ends. Gideon vows to avenge his siblings deaths, and takes all the information meant for Yaretzi, though he's unsure what he'll do with it. As they return home, a heartbroken Úna and Cecily feel the need to adopt again, a girl Yaretzi's age named Éowyn. A few years later, in Norman's honor, they adopt a son named Isais. Together, the family try to heal. Gideon has moved away from his life of women and woo, opting instead to pore over the Chihuán family records in search of anything salvageable to preserve this family, and his sister's memory.

So the family went to Hawaii to meet Friday's friends after she went there without them. They planned to confront Friday's friend Kellen who was spying on them, but they had a fender-bender accident before they got to Kellen's house. Then Kellen called and said he broke his arm and can't make it to meet them. The family found this suspicious, but Kellen said his arm hurt too much and he was on pain-killers. So they went home.
Then it was time to decorate for Halloween. Friday made glittering cobwebs and hung them magically to the rafters. Riley made ghosts that float out the windows when pedestrians approach. Murphy carved grizzly jack-o-lanterns with candles that were magically brighter. Phoebe summoned a conspiracy of ravens to sit in the trees. Alwyn helped Taylor grow ivy on the house. Anthea and Oriana adopted a stray black cat. Their neighbor Bernadette has been watching these goings-on with amused bewilderment and she's beginning to think the family has magical powers. Especially when the family attends the town Halloween gala and wins the prize for Best Halloween decorations. No one else notices it, but Anthea talks a little too enthusiastically about 'the magic of Halloween" and people start asking for tips and tricks to improve their decorations. The family isn't able to say too much for fear of revealing they have magical powers, but somebody may have let something slip.
