I'd assume it's short for a long name ending in -ency, sort of like Enzo for Lorenzo. I don't like Ency as a full name. I think it reminds me of too many words like emcee, etsy, antsy...
It could also be a "y" nickname for a name ending in -ence.

It looks like a fragment at first.
I get a vibe like I do with names like Etta and Joe. Kinda spare and distant or tough, yet familiar. Old fashioned and sexless.
It could pass as an initials name (N.C.)
I don't love the sound, though, personally - it reminds me of antsy.
The best middle name might be Clopedia.
But if we're very serious ... I'd avoid middle names that start with a consonant since they will run together, and -ia names.

Sorry, but my brain doesn't register Ency as a person's name. It makes me think "emergency" and "clemency."

Do you have any other information about it? Did you see this spelling in the credits or are you going off the sound? If so, then maybe there's a different spelling that could be a name with history / meaning to it. :0)
