[Opinions] Aubrielle
My husband wants to name our daughter Brielle, but I’m hesitant. Would love some feedback on Aubrielle, calling her Aubrie. My concern is that Brielle is too casual/informal. Also don’t love “bri” as a nickname. Thank you so much!

I think Brielle is a perfectly fine name honestly. I’ve heard it a few times before. If anything I think Aubrielle is a bit more informal. But I see what you mean. Aubrie is a nice nickname. You can also go with Gabrielle which I personally think is much more fashionable and classy but it’s up to you. I agree with Anneza and Dianatiger. You can always put Brielle in the middle and she’ll decide when she’s older.

I prefer Aubrey or Brielle. I would never use Brielle personally though since it is my sisters name, but I still love Brielle. (I think it sounds more formal than Aubrielle)

Not being American, Aubrey and names with similar spelling/sound are all male to me. I dislike Bree and Brielle as nns for Gabrielle, and Aubrielle seems too synthetic. May I suggest that, if your husband really likes it a lot and you don't, you could use Brielle as a middle name and find a fn that you can both agree on?

I prefer Brielle but Aubrielle is ok. Brielle isn't too casual or informal, Ambrielle, Zabrielle and Gabrielle are nice too

I know an Audrielle that goes by Audri. I think Aubri/Aubrie would be the logical nickname people go to. I think they would probably think Aubri. I don't think Brielle is any less casual than Aubrie. I do think if you go with Brielle, then Bri will likely happen.

Sorry, but I really hate it, it feels kinda low rent. Brielle is usually short for Gabrielle which is quite attractive. Perhaps if you are hesitant about the name he likes try a whole rethink so you can find something to agree on.

I like Brielle as a NN, Aubrielle doesn't really appeal to me at all. Is Gabrielle completely off the table? I really like Gabrielle personally. There is also Arielle, Adrielle, Mirielle, etc. for -ielle names.
