Don't like it, prefer Francine nn Fran, but fanny I'd never use because of meaning/association

Kind of like Frances, Fran is ok.

Frances is ok. It has a serious / studious vibe to me and it kinda comes across as an old lady / dated name. On the other hand Franny seems very juvenile and I wouldn’t use Fanny because of slang. My favourite Frances-type name is Francelia with the nn Frankie.

I've been warming a bit to Frances and Francis lately. I like Francis on a boy in an old-school catholic kind of way. Frances still feels like the lesser sister to Francesca and Francine to me but I've grown from disliking it to being lukewarm. Franny is kind of vintage cute. Better than Fanny at least.

I like Frances, but I'd rather use Francis for a boy. I don't think either one needs a nn. Fanny is unthinkable, and I'd prefer Fran to Franny if I had to choose.

Studious, but glum and dour. I do like Francis a lot for a boy, though. Franny sounds silly, Fanny is vulgar.

It’s nice I suppose? It’s the English version of my name.

I like it, but prefer Francis for a boy. I don’t like Fran/Franny and definitely not Fanny. The Frances I know goes by Frankie.

It’s okay for a girl but I do not like Francis on a boy. For a girl I prefer Francesca or Francine but Frances isn’t bad. Fanny isn’t an appropriate nickname. Franny sounds childish.

I actually quite like Frances. Classically French, simple, even a bit boyish without being too much so for a girl. I don’t care for Francis on a girl.Fanny is ugly and Franny is cute for some reason? Lol

I used to think it was very ugly, but now I enjoy it! Francis is a middle name passed down in my family through the eldest-son line and I've often thought of stealing it. I like Franny. Fanny isn't as "rude" in my culture as it is in others, so I don't mind it. Fan is cute, I think.
