I think of Nancy Kerrigan. Too surnamey even for the surname trend imo.

It seems like Kerry + Morgan / Morrigan. For a girl, I'd prefer Ceridwen, which I do like, and for a guy, I would prefer Morgan or Ciaran or Peregrine. The resemblance to Morrigan makes it seem dark imv particularly for a woman, and Kerry as masculine seems a little whiny to me or vibewise it's about like Casey, Kyle, Tyler, Taylor, all of which I dislike to various degrees. I guess I prefer it as a masculine name, though, and I might prefer it to Kerry.

Very surnamey, pretty good for a boy, not very good for a girl but I have met a girl Kerrigan (surprisingly not called Kerri).
It's kind of fun to say in the sense that it's just a straight up consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel pattern. Same as Finnegan.

It would be a great villain name. There's something dastardly about it.

It's the villain's name in Casper.

It reminds me of other Anglicized Irish surname-names that Americans like to use as trendy firstnames. So it works, although is not my style. It's better than about a third of them, and worse than another third of them, imo. Slightly more appealing than Sullivan, Rafferty, Keegan, and Murphy. About as good as Tiernan.
Kerry / Carey / Cary / Carrie make it seem flexible genderwise. But the -igan surname-ending makes it seem more masculine to me personally.
I think I would like it more if it did not sound so much like "care again."
