The past five years have been quite the journey for the Northwoods. At only 20, Baroness Amabel Northwood's life was cut short in a riding accident, devastating her entire family but especially Marchioness Kaylani. Not wanting to stay Amos' side woman, Lady Qadira leaves him. However, shortly after, Theophania Northwood dies of a mysterious illness. Amos mourns, but takes little time to meet Yvanna Pynewood, a local seamstress. With mousy hair and a hook nose, Yvanna was often mocked by her peers. But Amos finds her beautiful, especially her smile. He finds her so beautiful that after four years, they've engaged. The pair already have two children together: Lavinia and Claude Northwood, Amos' sixth and seventh children by his own hand. Dame Hyacinth chose her title over Ezra, and the two broke up, devastating him. However, this proved for the best when Ezra met and later married Revecca Baldwyne, a curly-haired, green-eyed woman with a love for poetry and a singer's voice. This year, they welcomed a son named Jeverem, who his siblings adore. Speaking of, Lira and Justus are now 6 and 5 and spend most their days running around Northwood Tower. It was only this week, as Revecca watched them play, that Ezra went to the base of the Tower to do some maintenance on the rotting floor. When he ripped it up, he found a staircase. Ezra was shocked. He thought he had every piece of the Tower mapped like a blueprint in his heart, yet he's never seen this cellar. Slowly making his way down the stairs, he stumbled into a dank room full of ancient symbols and glyphs in a language he couldn't read - save for the journal of ancestor Breccan Northwood, reading in his long-faded cursive: Miliana has become a fearsome witch. She has churned storms so high they take the entire ocean in their throes. She appears to have trained little Calypso. I fear what I've created. God help me, what have I done?
