I actually know several people that use that spelling. I think the name is still the same no matter how you spell it and is a very common name. I still like the sound of it and would def prefer the spelling lora

I totally agree. Laura is a gorgeous name and yet this spelling does nothing for me. I do know a Lora who wishes her parents had just spelled her name Laura. She said she was tired of spelling it out to people.

My name is Laura and I remember liking the spelling Lora when I was younger because it just seemed "cooler". Now I prefer Laura, but Lora is still a nice way to spell it. I think they both have different feels to them and it just depends on what you think would work best. Laura is more classical and simple and Lora is cool and artsy imo.

My name's Laura, too, and I used to spell it Lora for the reason you did! No thought is original I guess ;-)

It looks much nicer than Laura (which, as my own mn, I've become very tired of), but ultimately I do prefer that spelling. I like it all right though.

Sorry, I can't come up with any combos at the moment.
