I’m not the biggest fan of this name at all; I don’t like the sound. However, I wouldn’t pitch a fit if I had to use it…it could grow on me.

Just don't like the sound. Don't like Gerald either. There are basically no soft-g names that I like. Gerald, Jennifer, Giannine, don't like any of them. But Gerald/Geraldin are the least to my taste. Sounds like an unholy mashup of the world "geriatric" and name donald.

I think it needs to sit on the Shelf at least another 10 years before it's usable

Flip Wilson was well before my time but I have seen his routines as his character Geraldine, and I think the name suits her perfectly: loud, brassy, and straddling the fine line between hilarious and obnoxious.

I once worked with a young Geraldine, called "Ger", right around the same time I read that poem about the vampire Geraldine, so the name made an impression on me! I think it's pretty cool, definitely clunky, but I enjoy it.

I like it, it's fine.

It’s ugly pretty. Like a name you would just politely put in the middle spot.

It's brimming with personality. I love it!
