Opinions on the name Rie? Also, what would be a good middle name for it?

I like Rie. It’s cute but I like it the best as a kick name for Marie. That said, I like Mie slightly better.

I can think of at least three equally plausible pronunciation options.

This does not feel like a person’s name at all.

Rie? Never exactly heard of it. I like Ryland, but never heard of Rie. Kinda mid honestly.

Rie Azriel comes to mind.

I guessed it would sound like Ree. And that it was probably a shortened version of Marie.

HELP no, I mean it to be pronounced like "ree-ay". But yes I agree, that's why I decided against that pronunciation.

Okay, how would you suggest it be spelled? I personally thought Rie looked nice, but yes I realize it would remind most people of the bread

Sounds like a spelling mistake for Renee. I prefer Rhiannon, Rhianna, or Rhialle. The name would cause constant spelling and punctuation issues
