The popularity is definitely a downside for me but it's still a lovely name that fits a girl or woman of any age. I like most forms of Isabella but if I were to use one myself I'd probably go for something less common, like Ishbel maybe. Bella is a nice nickname but given that Bella is also a fairly popular name in its own right I guess it would make Isabella feel even more popular than it already is.
Isabella sounds very elegant, refined, feminine and a bit regal, so I think that's mostly what I think when I imagine someone named Isabella. A very elegant, sophisticated and cultured woman.Emilia Anna, proud and doting cat mummy to Russian blue Misha.
