[Opinions] Jane and Jan

I adore the name Jane. Has done for years.
As Anneza, I live in a country (Denmark for me) where Jan is strictly a male name, and it was my father's name, so I can't see it and not think 'male name'. Though, I do like it as a nickname for any English feminine names beginning with 'Jan-', like Janet, for example since that's what's been done for, like, forever.

Jane is ok, I don't really like Jan
I like Jane very much; my favourite fem form of John, though for family reasons I'd be more likely to use Jean.
Jan, where I live, is strictly male and the standard Afrikaans version of John, ETA pronounced Yun, though others do exist. As a fem name, I've only encountered it as a nn for Janice or Janet; it's an improvement on Janice but I prefer Janet in full.
