I think it's beautiful and strong but detest Di as a shortening. :/

I like Diana, but would be more likely to use it as a middle name than a first name. I think Ana would work as a nickname if you want to avoid "Di." I also know a Diana who goes by Dia.

It is quite beautiful, divine, classic and lovely. Better than a middle name though. Di is not the most appealing nickname at all granted. Ana would be different, or Didi?

My second association is Diana Bishop who is one of the main characters in a series of books by Deborah Harkness. I love the character.

Timeless classic. I like this name.

Better as a mn. Better than Diane, and much better than Dianne. I used to think that Camilla and Diana would be good twin names; then I realised that British royalty had ruined that idea.
