[Facts] To Mike: Popularity Germany
This site also has a statistic:https://www.baby-vornamen.de/Namensthemen/Charts/Beliebteste-Vornamen-Deutschland-48.phpTop 30.They are doing it in a similar way too Knud but not combining spellings. They get their data in the same/a similar way as Knud. Maybe these can be added?I would like for Knud's data to stay as well, though. But it is interesting to have a top 30 and no combined spellings. Please rate my list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/6232

The owner of baby-vornamen.de has replied and given the permission to use the lists from their site. The names and ranks are fairly similar to Knud's, but names are NOT grouped by similar spellings. This brings us to a difficult choice: is it better to have the top 20 from 1890 to present or the top 30 from 1950 to present?

Can't we have both? I'd love to have both.In general I prefer spellings not to be combined especially as he does it in a questionable way (combining spellings that wouldn't be pronounced the same)

I could put both up up, but one would have be hidden. If there are two lists of different names for Germany 2021, that'll leave people scratching their heads I think.

Yes, true. As long as it's still there I think it's fine to hide it!I would prefer the version without the spellings being combined because I think many people wouldn't agree with how he adds the names together.

I have written to ask if those lists can be published here (when it's a private organization that has produced the data I need permission). If they agree, that would be potentially three different series of German names (Knud's, the Berlin data, and baby-vornamen.de). I will probably end up using only two out of the three.
