[Opinions] Re: Pilar

I first heard this name when I was 15 or so, on an extremely silly daytime soap opera, and it swept me off my feet. I'd never heard anything like it. I thought it was the most beautiful, elegant name ever! So unique without being too frilly or boyish, very exotic to me. This was in the mid 90s, before the internet was a big presence in my life, so for years I had no idea it was a religious name. I don't know if I was even clever enough to put together that it was related to pillars right away, because "pee-LAR" and "PIL-er" sounded so different to me.
I seem to really enjoy names that have that dramatic -ar ending, most of them seem strikingly elegant to me. I still really like Pilar :)
