Neutral. Makes me think of the city before thinking of a person, but its much better than other cities used as names. Lends itself to rather grand names...

I think I prefer Odette a bit more but Odessa is really pretty as well. Odette is always ballerina material but Odessa is classic theater actress to me. Both classical performers in different fields.
