[Opinions] Re: Sunday
It doesn't feel quite as namey as Sunny or Sonnet or Holiday would to me but reminds me of those vibewise. I think Sunedai would be more fun but admittedly more complicated to spell. My associations...1. Vanilla ice cream. Banana splits. Yellow. Mildness, sweetness.2. Wednesday Addams (I assume inspired by "Wednesday's child is full of woe" so then, in the same rhyme is "the child born on the sabbath day is bonny and blithe, and good and gay" or some variation of that, plus there's this line from another song (I was born on a Wednesday / I don't know about you / I always wanted to meet Sunday's child / And tell her what to do)...I was born on Sunday. 3. My profound confusion in kindergarten about being told Sunday was the 1st day of the week even though Monday was clearly the start of the school/work week (isn't the "day of rest" supposed to come last?? I didn't know technically that's Saturday).4. "Gloomy Sunday" (dreariness in song form)5. The sun! Celebration of...6. Significant Sundays: Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday...#5 is the one I'd want, but it takes too long for me to get there for it to be easily likable. I have a soft spot for time/holiday names because my middle name is a holiday/season, so I *could* learn to like it, but I don't without effort.I do not initially ascribe religious motivations like I might for Dominga or Sabbat or Shabbatai (I do like Dominga and also Nedelya). If she had siblings like Heaven and Bishop, I would.
