I love both of them, Patricia especially. That was my grandma’s name.

Patricia has always given me a medieval atmosphere.
If Alicia is pronounced ə-LEE-see-ə, then I would like it

Patricia sounds like a 60s style dress I might find in a thrift store. It could be glam or not. I think it's a nice MN, and I like Trish / Trisha.Alicia seems more sporty chic or like a 90s tube top or tracksuit. I like it? But then, I like most Aly type names other than Alison.I'm more fond of Laetitia from within the "sha" ending Latin style group. I also like Portia; even Lucretia and Felicia have been growing on me lately.

I much prefer Alicia. Patricia feels very dated and dowdy.

Patricia is very nice indeed, but its nns - Pat, Patsy, Patty, Tish, Trish and Tricia - are a sorry lot and I'd only ever consider Patricia as a mn.Alicia looks good; I've heard alISHa, aLISHeea, aleeSHEEa and aLEEseea. Too confusing, therefore. I would happily use either Alice or Alison.
