[Opinions] Coco

I like as nickname for Colette
Coco is name of Pixar Movie “Coco”‘s Great grandma. The film name was changed in Brazil because of Portuguese word “Cocô” which means poop. I think it’s a good name outside of Portuguese speaking countries.
I only like this as a nickname for Connie.
Cute as a nickname and I do like coconuts. Not substantial as an everyday name.
I don’t like it as a girls name. My friend has a cockapoo named Coco and it’s cute for a dog but not a person.
Ok as a nickname, terrible as a given name.
It's acquiring a healthy, outdoorsy, tennis-playing vibe, but for non-celebs it's a non-starter. Babyish rather than childish, and like other food items, inappropriate on a human.
Don't like it
Flimsy and insubstantial, plus it sounds like cocoa. Maybe because I'm teaching Jr. High, but I can just hear a teenage boy saying derogatory things about hot coco/cocoa. It's definitely a nickname or pet name only territory for me.
I absolutely love this name. It is evocative of glamour. Coco Chanel, supermodel Coco Rocha. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but you can’t deny it has a very specific “aesthetic” that comes along with it”—that of high fashion and glamour.
It seems like just baby talk. Not appropriate except with close family and friends, and definitely not for a full name. Like Mocha, it's also a pretty common name for chocolate Labs and other brown dogs.
