Regardless of gender I hate the name. And I especially hate the trend of giving girls surnames or masculine names as first names ie James, Max, Bennett, Addison, Elliot, Wyatt, etc.
And to me there is nothing sexy about the name Sloan. It sounds sloppy, boring and ugly.

Agree with all your points.
Sloane is a ghastly thing to do to a child. There is something slithery and unpleasant about it.
