It's okay. I like the sound but hate the double c.

Always think of a local church when I was a kid, St Rocco had a great street fest every year. So good associations, really.

Quite widely used by Afrikaans-speaking South Africans, but not trending at the moment. Fine in its context, mildly funny considering many of the people who might be expected to use the name and probably do are still nervous about pop music, scared that one could play it backwards and then dreadful things might happen. I wouldn't consider using it myself: all I hear in my head is a magnificently camp voice saying 'O-o-oh, Rock-y-y'!

A name more ideal for a dog or maybe a raccoon, rather than on an actual person. Very stage namey IMO, much like Lola, only less extreme.

It's fun and hunky. I'd love to know a Rocco. I came across Roque the other day, which is the Spanish version of Rocco, and both names are so great.
