[Opinions] Name pronunciation
I just wanted to share that today for work I got a new client with a very unique name and I got it right on the first try and was so excited. I can't say what it is because of confidentiality of course but she told me it made her so happy and that I was one of only 4 people in her life at this point who have gotten it right the first try. Tiny Victory for me. Have you ever been really happy to get a name you haven't seen before right on the first try? If so, share whenPlease rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

I used to be in retail management and once I had to call a customer with a unique last name in regard to a delayed order. He was so pleased that I got the pronunciation correct.
My own first name is always pronounced as Serry or Surry.
I’ve heard of Marcia being pronounced as Mar SEE uh and Mar SHA.

A customer I had to phone up in Wales called Gwenllian. The customer said it was the first time outside of Wales her name had been pronounced correctly first time.

MarciaSo great when our nerdiness comes in handy. :0)I had a client named Marcia. Already knowing a Marcia (nn Marci) who pronounced it, "mahr-SEE-uh" and was annoyed when people assumed it was "MARSH-uh," I decided to take a risk. When I met my client I asked if it was "mahr-SEE-uh" and got pretty much the same response that you did.
