My take is just because you like the name, doesn't mean it's a good idea. So I'd think long and hard about this one-more so than you already have already. Unique doesn't equal better (although there ARE plenty of unique and uncommon names out there that work just fine. Some even great.)
People WILL think of the word. You know, like: "Jinx, you owe me a soda!" Any character associations with it, wouldn't even cross most people's mind. My suggestion (besides really thinking about it, truly and deeply) would be to have it as a middle. But I would honestly suggest to use it for a pet or character, rather than on an actual child.

Thank you for the feedback and doing so respectfully. This is why I posted because I was having reservations about using the name. Personally, I think it’s beautiful, but if I’m the only one, that kind of defeats the purpose and sets my child up for a harder road. Just sucks cause I think it’s so pretty, really wish there wasn’t so much nonsense surrounding the name.
