I have nothing against Ed or Ted, but I just prefer Ned for an Edward. The same goesto Jim - James is so much better on its own, and you can still call him Jamie when he's young.

I don't like Kathy because of the K, but I find cathy particularly sweet. Livvy and becky are too cute for my taste, but Liv is all right. And I rather like Penny for Penelope. Penelope is just too long for a child! :-)
